Joseph G. Alpino is the founder and President of The Senior Equity Group, he is an experienced financial consultant specializing in providing his senior clientele with strategies to maximize their financial stability through a Reverse Mortgage program. His background includes real estate sales and property development, mortgage brokerage services, and life insurance but for the past eight years, Joseph has dedicated his focus on reverse mortgages. Through the process of helping his parents find a way to supplement their meager social security income and stay in their home, he discovered a solution in a Home Equity Conversion Mortgage. After seeing firsthand how this loan improved his parent’s quality of life and peace of mind, Joseph decided he wanted to help other seniors and make this his full time business field.

Joseph quickly learned that the Reverse Mortgage business is unique and requires a number of practical skills to be most effective. Senior borrowers require patience, understanding, respect, and comprehensible information.  There are often associated family matters, estate planning, home repairs, and unresolved financial issues to be dealt with. Unlike some lenders who transact their business by phone or mail, or send a notary to do the loan signing, Joseph deals with his customers personally at in home appointments from the initial application through the closing.  He encourages participation from his customer’s family members, CPA, Attorney, and Financial Planners who oftentimes have misunderstandings about reverse mortgages based on erroneous information or old products that no longer exist.  Throughout California, from the low income neighborhoods to people with multimillion dollar estates and everything in between, Joseph has helped his clients with settlement of IRS tax liens, lawsuits, judgments, property tax issues, and title discrepancies and disputes. Through his experience handling hundreds of loans, Joseph offers his expertise in dealing with the most complex situations always with a positive outcome for the customer and a completion of the loan.

A native of Glendale, California, Joseph received his Bachelors Degree in Real Estate/Finance from the University of Southern California and is a licensed Real Estate Broker, Life Insurance Agent, and General Contractor. He is President, CEO of The Senior Equity Group, Inc., a California based FHA certified HUD Lender, specializing in Home Equity Conversion Mortgages.  Joseph currently resides with his wife and stepson in La Canada Flintridge, California.

Joseph founded The Senior Equity Group in 2008.Joseph Alpino entered the Reverse Mortgage industry in 2003.After setting up a local lender in California and working with a Couple of them Joseph founded his own business as The Senior Equity Group.

Joseph’s goal is to grow Reverse Mortgage lenders in California, helping senior Americans with a dream of living a stress free life after Retirement. Joseph takes the pride in helping seniors as it gives him the satisfaction no other industry offers with a methodology to treat all our Clients with respect, care and politeness. The entire staff that works for Joseph is chosen and trained based on the same methodology.

Prior to The Senior Equity Group Joseph was the co-Founder of Digitec Security Services. As a co-Founder he specialized in Business Development, Marketing Management and Sales division he grew the Company sales to $8MN in annual sales.
